Auditions are held once a year in early June. Current company members are required to re-audition every year. Requirements for auditions are listed separately and include splits, across the floor combos, learning choreography for a short routine at the audition and performing it. Results are posted after the recital.

All four companies compete at dance competitions about 4-5 times a year and perform the opening number at the recital. The companies also perform at charity events and other local performances. All companies are required to attend a 4 day camp prior to classes beginning in mid-August where they are taught various forms of dance such as jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, musical theater and hip hop. At the camp, company dancers will get their big sisters and little sisters. Company members are required to purchase company warm-ups and company dance bags (except for minis where it is optional).

The Dance Movement has a Booster Club that schedules social activities and raises funds for the companies. The girls gather for swim parties, tea parties, lock-ins, etc. The girls have a great time hanging out with their friends.
