Rachel Knight Office Manager and Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Tumbling Instructor
Rachel Knight began her formal training under Cherie Lawson where she studied the
Cechetti method of ballet and has also studied Russian ballet training at the West
Virginia School of Ballet. Ms. Knight has performed lead roles in "The Nutcracker"
and "Coppelia" with the West Virginia Ballet Company. Rachel toured with Hoctor's
Dance Caravan as a Caravan Kid while studying with teachers such as Jerry Rose,
Barry Youngblood, and Loree Russeau. She has also received numerous scholarships
from Dance Olympus and Tremaine Dance Convention in addition to attending college
at Pittsburg State University. Rachel served as choreographer, captain and dancer
for the Crimson and Gold dance team for 4 years. This team competed nationally for
collegiate UDA on ESPN placing in the top 10 all 4 years. Rachel has also appeared
in commercials for local businesses and restaurants during college. Ms. Knight
has taught under Shelley VanShaar, former Branson choreographer and dancer. Rachel
teaches all ages and from of dance and resides in Allen with her husband Brandon
and their son Asher.
Ms. Rachel is celebrating her third year (since 2007) at TDM.
