Academy Dress Code:

We recommend Sandy’s Dancewear (Plano and Frisco locations) for all your dancewear/shoe needs or online at discountdance.com or dancewearsolutions.com

• Ballet/Tap: black leotard (any sleeve), pink tights, attached or pull on skirt optional, pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, hair pulled away from face (pony, braid, bun)

• Ballet: black leotard (any sleeve), pink tights, attached or wrap around skirt optional, pink ballet shoes, hair pulled away from face (pony, braid, bun)

• Jazz, Pom Squad, Tap, Contemporary and Musical Theatre: any color leotard (okay to wear form fitted tank over leo), any color booty shorts, jazz pants, leggings, joggers. Hair secured away from face (pony, braid, bun). No baggy t-shirts, sweats, or tummies showing. Tan slip on jazz shoes (no laces) for jazz, pom squad and musical theatre, black, lace-up tap shoes for tap, barefeet or tan foot-undies for contemporary.

• Hip Hop: any movable athletic wear, sneakers, no short loose shorts, no tummies showing.

• Acro: any movable athletic wear, barefoot, no tummies showing, hair pulled away from face (ponytail, braid, etc)

Spring Recital

Our school year program ends with our professional recital in late May. Each class performs their own routine in full costume (combo classes perform 2 routines). Every dancer receives a trophy. Dancers that qualify are awarded their 5 yr Medal or 10 yr Trophy at recital.

Academy Gifts/Events

Dancers will receive an Academy water bottle the first week of class (or upon registration) and receive a trophy at our spring recital. Dancers are also invited to our Holiday party and after-recital pool party.

Fees

• $55 Spring Membership Fee (due annually)

• $100 Spring Recital Costume (Includes tights where applicable) Due in Dec.

• $50 Spring Recital Performance Fee ($25 each additional sibling) Due in Feb.

• $85 (45 min class) or $95 (1 hr class) monthly tuition. Due at the beginning of each month (prorated to start date)

Discounts

• 10% discount off your family’s 2nd class

• 20% discount off your family’s 3rd class

• 30% discount off your family’s 4th class

FAQ’s

Can boys participate? Yes! Boys are welcome in all our classes.

Can my dancer make up a class if they miss? Yes, simply come to a similar class and age group and let the teacher know you’re there for a make-up. No need to call ahead.

Yearly Schedule

School year classes begin Aug. 17 and run to the end of May, with a mid/late May recital to end the season. Tuition is pro-rated in Aug. to your start date, but charged in full for Sept – May.  Summer programs offer 4-day dance camps and 2-week workshops, spanning June and July. Register separately for summer programs.
