Jaime Borkan is originally from Chicago, Illinois and spent her youth primarily training at Extensions Dance Company under the tutelage of Lizzie Mackenzie. Jaime is currently a dancer with Bruce Wood Dance, based in Dallas, Texas where she has performed works by Bruce Wood, Joy Bollinger, Brian Arias, and Garret Smith, among others. Jaime has previously performed with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Odyssey Dance Theater under the direction of Derryl Yeager, as well as with C5, Create With No Limits, and Royal Caribbean International as a dancer/aerialist. She has also formerly performed as a company member with Chicago Repertory Ballet and as a company apprentice with Peridance Contemporary Dance Company in New York City. Jaime graduated Summa Cum Laude and earned her BFA in Dance with a minor in Business Administration from The Ailey School/Fordham University. Jaime has had the privilege to work with choreographers including Karine Girard, Gustavo Ramirez, Didy Veldman, Sharon Eyal, Thang Dao, Norbert De La Cruz III, Jessica Lang, Hope Boykin, Harrison McEldowney, and Jeremy Plummer.
