Lindsey Pettus

Impact dance co.

Lindsey was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and began her dance training at the age of 3. Dance was always something she loved and by age 9 it was clear that she wanted to take the next step and began training at the competitive level under Kim McSwain. At the age of 13 Lindsey expanded her knowledge and love of dance while training under Jason Parsons, Justin Giles, and Marty Kudelka. By 16 Lindsey competed and won 1st overall in almost every solo competition she entered since the age of 10. Although she loved the stage and competing, she found a new passion when given the opportunity to assist and teach in the Dallas area. It was here where Lindsey found her calling and real place in the dance industry, teaching. At the  age of 18 Lindsey was directing Mini and Junior Competitive teams in Dallas as well as teaching children’s programs. Lindsey knew she wanted to learn more about the way children think and develop in order to truly understand and engage them. She completed her degree in Elementary Education at the University of Texas at Dallas in 2012 with a concentration in Child Development. Lindsey has spent the past two years traveling with well known educators such as Michelle Dawley, Ricky Maalouf, Gregory Dolbashian, and McKenzie Dustman assisting and teaching dancers of all ages while helping studios develop the most effective and successful curriculum for their programs. Lindsey is excited to make a positive impact in the dance industry and hopes to bring light and love to the children she meets.
