As an experienced choreographer and dance instructor, Tanae loves teaching jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, clogging, and ballet. Specializing in jazz technique and hip-hop, she loves to ignite the classroom with challenging work sprinkled with a lot of fun. A native to Washington state, she has won numerous choreography awards, conducted and instructed at dance workshops around Washington, and won what was then known as Moses Lake’s Jr. Miss, Washington’s Jr. Miss, and took home the top talent award at America’s Jr. Miss. She had the opportunity to teach and train Caitlynn Lawson from SYTYCD Season 8 for nine plus years as well as choreograph and instruct classes with Jaymz Tuaileva from SYTYCD Season 2. She graduated from the nationally ranked business school at Brigham Young University while participating on the International Folk Dance touring team as well as teaching jazz technique at the collegiate level. Tanae loves teaching at The Dance Movement and hopes to truly inspire each of her students to become better dancers and to tap into the potential of the person they want to become.
